Stringing Small Mesh Netting

Putting in new Small Mesh Netting is frustrating as hell when you cant pick the salvage off the netting in order to do the job with any speed or efficiency. I came up with this trick a few years back. I run a piece of leadcore between the leadline and corkline when doing repair or new build nets. Let the leadcore lay right on the floor and tie it off at each end of the run to pinning points on your stretcher. .It effectively holds the netting on or near the ground and acts as a weight to stretch the netting out some. The selvage becomes much easier to pick off the netting and string. Doing this trick also has the added bonus of managing the twists in the netting that often come near the end of a run.Saves a considerable amount of time and frustration.
