Why yes it is Points North, Great observation. Here's some pictures taken a while back out of Gills Rock WI.Thats
the fish tug Freitag Bros.to the North of us.Owned by Rick Johnson on his way to lift.

Heres a great photo I snapped in the Bay of Green Bay, I believe in June of 2013. It's the Burger boat Theresa that has been renamed after changing hands several times. She's 40 by 12 Feet and still powered by a Cummins diesel. The same as she was in the winter of 1995 when I fished chubs on her out of Kewaunee Wisconsin. At that time she was owned by the one and only Phillip "Philly" Anderson.Philly has without question owned more Great Lakes fish Tugs than anyone on the planet.Period. His affinity for Burger Built vessels is unparalleled .

The boat is now owned by the Hickey Bros.of Baileys Harbor, who renamed it after a grandson. The time the picture was taken Verteran fishermen Charles Nylund and James Dura were fishing her out of Marinette Wisconsin.

on the far right of the picture with my Grandma Mabel ,just in high school, standing next to him.The photo was taken at the dock in Algoma Wisconsin

Here's a picture from the late 80's when chub fishing was good or at least normal as
to the way I like to remember it.Way before the arrival of the damned zebra mussel
and over a decade and a half of bad to non-existent chub catches, that forced scores
of fishermen to throw in the towel and either retire or move on to different lines of work.

Here are some snapshots from 2011 taken in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.I was asked by Hickey Bros. Research to go out west and assist them and the National Park Service with the ongoing task of ridding Lake Yellowstone of the non-native Lake Trout.
The Lake Trout are pushing the native Cutthroat Trout out of existence.First we set a few trap nets. That's me on deck heading to shore after 1st traps of the short Yellowstone season were set.

Then we got down to business and set about 70 boxes of gillnets on the Kokanee.A Mariette 35 boat, seen here docked at Grant in the West Thumb

Me and two young fellows from different parts of the country made up the crew. Our first 6 lifts we caught a whooping 22,275 lake Trout. Each fish was measured and recorded. Here's some video footage I took while lifting a box of nets in Lake Yellowstone June of 2011.
Please enjoy and remember to register to our
site to keep it going. Thanks for checking us out.

One young fellow was from Idaho and the other from Kansas. The guy from Kansas had worked previously with the park service, netting trout, and the fellow from Idaho "I just don't Know". I do know that neither one of them was a stranger to hard work,as we Toiled 12 + hours a day. Here is a snapshot I took one morning on the way to lift with those guys. The scenery up there was strange, beautiful and surreal.
